Giving back to the neighborhood we call home has become a holiday tradition for Prevention Point Philadelphia.

On November 21, PPP staff assembled and delivered 75 Thanksgiving meals to our neighbors in Kensington. The baskets included whole turkeys, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce, rolls, and pie.

"The pressure to provide a special holiday experience can add a lot of financial stress for some families, especially in Kensington," said Kate Perch, Lead Operations Officer at PPP. "We hope these meal deliveries can help our neighbors relax and enjoy a delicious meal with their loved ones."

PPP is grateful to Jess Loflin and Marie Cole of Grocery Outlet on North American Street in Fishtown for providing food for the baskets at a discount. This was truly a community effort, one that we hope to continue for years to come.
