URGENT
PPP is hosting a series of overnight emergency warming centers for unhoused community members starting Thursday, January 15 and continuing throughout winter 2026 when there is a Code Blue.
At warming centers, PPP will provide: snacks, breakfast, hot chocolate and other beverages, yoga mats, and blankets. Staff will also distribute hygiene kits in the morning as guests leave.
DONATIONS NEEDED:
- Hot chocolate
- Mini cereal boxes
- Chewy granola bars (no peanut butter)
- Beverages: water, electrolyte packets, Gatorade
- Blankets
- Coats, mittens, hats, scarves
- Underwear, including boxers

Prevention Point Philadelphia (PPP) accepts donations of the following:
- New and gently used scarves, hats, gloves, sweatpants, blankets, and coats
- New socks, thermals, and underwear with tags/packaging
- Hand/foot-warmers
- Packaged snacks and beverages such as instant noodles, fruit cups, granola bars, and cocoa mix
- Clean backpacks, totes, and reusable shopping bags

Our emergency shelter program at Beacon House and Philly Home has a consistent need for the above as well as hygiene supplies, bedding, and pillows for the 159 residents we support. Contact dale@ppponline.org to donate items to PPP's shelters.
With the exception of what is listed above, PPP does not accept clothing donations. The Drop-in Center has established a relationship with The Wardrobe (413 N. 4th Street, Philadelphia PA, 19123) and has begun receiving pre-sorted and cleaned clothing donations. Any donations that go to The Wardrobe will support PPP clothing distribution. Thank you!
